Ribeauvillé: One of the most famous features of Ribeauvillé (« Rappschwihr » in Alsatian) is the bright and colourful geranium that gave the town its reputation as a major flower city. 5000 people live there, surrounded by vineyards, aware of the quality of life, watched by storks in their nests, situated at the crossroad of the wine route, the Vosgian forest and the Alsatian flatlands. The picturesque streets, lined with half-timbered houses, the medieval walls, the convenience shops, the wine tasting cellars, the chocolate shops, the local food markets, the restaurants, the  balneotherapy center, the  cinema, the two smimming-pools turn it into a must-be step whenever you travel to Alsace.
